Eddie Boone, age 72 of Mount Olive, Alabama passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023. He was born on September 9, 1951 to the late Billy and Margaret Boone. He proudly served his country for six years in the United States Air Force after graduating from Rogers Vocational School, now Gardendale High School, in 1970. Eddie retired from Gerdeau Ameristeel as the Chief Detailer and Estimator. He was a horseman, loving husband, caring dad, and the best Pawpaw.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Edward Boone, Sr. and Margaret Nickels Boone; and his brother Michael Boone. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Cindy Payne Boone; his daughter, Amanda Kendrick; his son and daughter in law, Tommy and Crystal Boone; his seven grandchildren; Seth Boone, Lillian Boone, Violet Boone, Joleen Boone, Nathan Kendrick, Ella Kendrick, and Sarah Kendrick; his brother and sister in law, Stanley and Barbara Boone; his special friends, Jack and Diane Collins; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel. A Celebration of Life Graveside will be held on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023 at 11:00 am at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
