William Michael Owen

William Michael Owen, 30, of Pinson, died December 8th, 2012. He was born March 3rd, 1982 in Birmingham, the son of Ray and Susanne (Smith) Owen. He attended Pinson Valley schools and graduated from Pinson Valley High School in 2000, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and the tennis team. He graduated from Auburn University in 2004, majoring in electrical engineering. Michael continued to be an honor student throughout his college career frequently working special projects in wireless engineering for his professors. He was employed by Trane as an outside sales representative. Michael enjoyed being a member of CrossFit Rebellion, playing his guitar and was an avid listener to of music.

Michael is survived by his parents Ray and Susanne of Remlap; his brother Tony of Vestavia; and his sister Lisa of Augusta, Georgia. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Irene Marie Smith of Hayden and several aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and nephew, and a host of friends.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel in Gardendale. Visitation hours will be Wednesday, December 12th, from 12-1pm. The funeral will be held directly afterwards at 1pm. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
