William V. Reed Jr.

Reed, William Van, Jr. " BILLY" age 65 of Fultondale passed away Monday, February 18, 2013. He was preceded in death by his son, Wm. Daniel Reed and parents, William and Lucille Reed. He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 45 years, Alice V. Reed; sons, Christopher D. Reed and Charles L.“Chuck” Reed; grandchildren, C.J. Reed, Ryan Reed, Hunter Reed, Meagan Reed Odom, Christopher Reed, Emily Reed, and Jessica Reed; great grandchildren, Layton Reed and Andrew Van James Odom; brothers, Gary W. Reed and Richard D. Reed; sister, Evelyn Lynn; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He retired from Alabama Power Company and graduated from Phillips High School. He was a proud veteran of the US Army.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 20th from 5 until 7 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with chapel services Thursday, February 21st beginning at 1 PM and followed with entombment at the Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum with US Army Military Honors. The family would like to thank the staff of Comfort Care Hospice for their love and kindness during his illness, also Dr. Yielding and his staff for their care.
