Born and raised in Cullman, Alabama, Reno attended West Point School; where he met his high school sweetheart, Jo. They were married for 73 years. He worked for Hayes Aircraft (currently known as Pemco) until his retirement. Reno coached youth baseball, softball, and umpired baseball in his younger years. His past retirement years were devoted to serving and working for his church, Welcome Missionary Baptist.
Willie Reno Wren Sr. is survived by his wife, Joyce Wren (Shoemaker); children, Kathy Nobles, Willie R. Wren Jr. (Amy), Christopher Wren; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, 10 brothers, two sisters, and one grandson, Derek.
A visitation will be held on October 5, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, located at 2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, Alabama, 35071.
A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the same location on October 5, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
