

Annie Opal Watson Gilmore, 88, of Oatmeal, TX, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at The Springs Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Cedar Park, TX. Born on October, 25, 1937, in Goldthwaite, TX to George and Margaret (Snow) Watson, she was a homemaker and occasionally worked retail to fill her spare time. She loved sewing and quilting, reading and writing, riding horses, shooting guns, attending church, taking long walks around the farm and spending time with family and friends.
Annie is survived by her husband, James “Bud” Gilmore, son Ronnie (Brenda) Gilmore, daughters Lisa (Ken) Newton and Jeannie Gilmore, sister Joyce (Mike) Edwards, sister-in-law Ivy (Bird) Watson, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many more beloved family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret (Snow) Watson, brothers Jerry Watson, Harry Watson, and her twin Danny Watson.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff, nurses and hospice caretakers at the Springs Nursing Home who dedicated their time, love and compassion during the final chapter of her life.
A visitation will be held at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory, located at 393 N Interstate Hwy 35, Georgetown, TX, 78628, US. The visitation is scheduled for November 7, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
