Ashley Rebecca Milhim, 18, of Hutto, went to be with God and his angels on Sunday, May 23, 2010. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM with a Rosary/Prayer Service to be recited at 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 3:00PM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 2500 Limmer Loop, Hutto, Texas 78634. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery, Georgetown, Texas. “Ashley B” as she was lovingly known, was born May 5, 1992 in Austin, Texas. Ash was the pride and joy of her family. She struggled with Cerebral palsy from birth but lived a very full life. Ashley attended “life skills classes” in both the Round Rock and Hutto ISD. She enjoyed being a part of the choir at school and loved listening to music. She was known as “Princess Ashley” by teachers and classmates. The one true love of all was being with her Mema and to be comforted by her voice. Ashley is preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents, Laura and Erwin Prinz and paternal great grandparents, George and Katherine Milhim and paternal great grandmother, Nellie Hill. Ashley leaves behind to remember her smile and cherish her memory her loving mother and stepfather, Charlotte and Chris Goertz; her maternal grandmother and her “Mema”, Carla Prinz; her maternal grandfather, Michael Walsh and wife Nancy; her father and stepmother, Wes and Annie Milhim; paternal grandparents, Jackie and George Milhim and Nelda Jones; her siblings, Hannah, Noah, Autumn and Christopher; her great aunt, Peggy Hobbs; five aunts and four uncles; along with numerous cousins and other loving family members and friends. Although Ash could not speak she was so full of life, filled many hearts so deeply that we are forever changed. She has gone on now to be with her Lord and Savior. Thank you Ashley for your love and your strength you showed to us your short time on this earth. It will be remembered and felt for a lifetime. We say goodbye with hope – the hope that we will all see your beautiful face and smile again someday. We know you are at home and you are free and we know our goodbye is not the end. We love and miss you always. Ashley’s family would like to give a special thank you to all the teachers and staff at the Round Rock and Hutto ISD Life Skills Program and to the Nurses, Doctors and Respiratory Therapists at the Dell Children’s Medical Center, for all their loving support for Ashley over the years. Memorial donations should be made in Ashley’s name to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church or Dell Children’s Medical Center. Personal words of comfort may be sent to the family online at www.gabrielsfuneral.com.
