

Bertha Clarkson Williams, age 85 of Georgetown, Texas, went home to be with her Savior on January 24, 2020. Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on February 8, 2020 at Friendly Will Missionary Baptist Church, 706 W. 14th St. Georgetown, Texas.
Bertha was born on December 17, 1934 to James L. Clarkson and Catherine Whitley Clarkson. She graduated from Carver High School in 1951 and continued her education at San Antonio Beauty College. Upon graduation, she opened her own beauty salon.
Bertha Clarkson Williams was a dedicated member of Friendly Will Missionary Baptist Church since 1938. She served faithfully as a member of the church choir and the women’s ministry. She also served as a church secretary and attended Sunday School regularly. She participated in the ribbon cutting of the New Church sanctuary at Friendly Will Missionary Baptist Church. Bertha Clarkson Williams was a member of St. Johns Association and The Court of Calanthes. During her life she was a beautician, caretaker for the elderly, and owned an entrepreneurial housekeeping service. She traveled to several states in the United States as well as, London, Paris, and Mexico.Bertha Clarkson Williams was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and a good friend to everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James L. Clarkson and Charlie Catherine Clarkson, siblings James L. Clarkson “Tiny”, Ella Bee Jenkins, Mary Lynn Bailey, Fred O. Clarkson, and Charles Clarkson. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Bishop Glenn Morris Clarkson, James Patrick Williams, and Everett Williams. Grandchildren Major Glenn M. Clarkson Jr., Rachel N. Clarkson, Stacy Clarkson-Brozek, Dominique Eugene Williams, DaShawn O’Neal Williams, Jordan Reese Williams, Caleb, and Bethany. Great grandchildren Glenn M. Clarkson III, Cayden Clarkson, Alexis Brozek, Braxton Brozek, Ryder, and Lucas. Granddaughter-in-law Chante Clarkson, Grandson-In-Law Wojciech Jerzy Brozek, daughter-in-laws Patricia Cason Clarkson, and Carmen Williams. She also leaves a host of relatives and friends to hold her memories.
Services will be held at Friendly Will Baptist Church in Georgetown on Saturday February 08, 2020. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral service will start at 11:00 am. Burial will follow immediately after services at Citizen Memorial Garden Cemetery In Georgetown. Flowers can be sent to The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 N.
