

Robert Lee Howe, 53, lovingly known as “Bob”, of Florence, passed away on May 4, 2013 with his loving family at his side. A service celebrating Bob’s life will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at St. Catherine’s Chapel, 50 County Road 215, Florence, Texas, with John "Buck" Love officiating. Bob was born May 27, 1959 at Camp Zama, Yokohoma, Japan to the late Harold Eugene and Patricia Mary Mason Howe. After high school, Bob served his country honorably in the United States Army. He later went on to attend St. Phillip’s College, where he achieved his Associates degree in Physical Therapy. Bob married the love of his life, Linda Osuna on September 20, 1975. In most recent years, Bob worked for FedEx as a delivery driver; he enjoyed his work, always meeting new people. Bob’s true passion was his gardening and his cooking; it was doing this that gave him peace. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Patricia Howe and his brother, Patrick Harold “Buddy” Howe. Bob will be truly missed by his loving wife of 37 years, Linda Osuna Howe; his sons, Harold Robert “Bobby” Howe and his fiancée Jennifer Hyatt, Jeffrey Wayne “Jeff” Howe and his wife Tamra, and Joseph Rey “Joe” Howe; his brothers, William G. “Bill” Howe and wife Ellen, Dwight B. “Dyke” Howe and wife Linda, Eugene L. “Gene” Howe, and Kevin M. Howe and his wife Betty; grandchildren, Nicolette Paige Howe, Travis Hays-Mendenhall, Denton Hyatt and Kolby Hyatt; along with his loving Chihuahua, PeeWee and other dogs, Chico, Peanut Butter and Ginger; along with numerous other loving family and friends. Bob’s family would like to offer a special thanks to Lighthouse Hospice Staff for their loving care of Bob. Especially Chaplain Dub Falsone, his Social Worker, Carmen Botaw, and for all her special loving care his nurse, Lindsey Lockwood. She was always so good to him; he adopted her as our daughter, We Love You Lindsey; to Doctor Benjamine Downie and Doctor Robert Brown and all their staff at Georgetown Cancer Center. All of you made Bob’s last months and weeks here with us so much more comfortable and for that we are grateful.
