Cirilda Bazan

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Cirilda Bazan. Although our hearts are saddened, we know she is at peace. She has gained her wings and is in the loving arms of her Savior, and getting to see family that has gone on before her.

Cirilda was born July 9, 1940, in Seguin, Texas to Genaro and Venselada Ramos, whom preceded her in death. She was one of 14 children. Besides her parents, siblings who preceded her in death include Marcos, Leonard, Genaro Jr., Narcisco, George, Torivia, Beatrice, Irene and Dora.

The Ramos family set a deep family foundation in Georgetown, Texas. This foundation continued when Cirilda met and married Balente Bazan in the summer of 1955. During her early years, she became a migrant worker where her job took her from Texas, to Indiana, then to other states like Oklahoma and Wisconsin. She ultimately returned back to Texas and remained in Georgetown until her death. Cirilda was a hard worker and committed to working at Texas Instruments (23 years) and Georgetown ISD (6 years).

Cirilda had so much life and was a joy to be around. She left a beautiful legacy of faith, family and love. She was the proud mother of 6 daughters and their spouses (Christina/Jimmy, Diana/Alfredo, Ida/Arthur, Anita/Christino, Rosalinda/Ronald, Norma/Roy Sr.). She had 15 grandkids (Susan, Sophia, Cruzita, Victoria/Brian, Christopher Alan/Melissa, Amanda/Richard , Debra/Isaiah, Iris, Arthur Jr., Monique/David, Jacob/Ashley, Amber/George, Lizette /Pablo, Roy Jr., Isaiah/Samantha), numerous great grandkids, multiple great great grandkids, and additional blended grandkids). Her legacy leaves over 55 great grandkids in total. Cirilda was called mom and grandma from others as she continually welcomed other kids in her life. Cirilda was preceded in death by two great grandchildren (Vincent Miller Jr. and Weston Slaughter)

Cirilda enjoyed great family times. She loved all gatherings to include weddings, quinceneras, camping and sporting events. She attended as many as she could when possible. She followed the softball games with her kids and continued with her great grandkids from the age of 4. Cirilda also played softball with Georgetown City League. After the events were over, she enjoyed the conversations that followed.

While the last few years brought challenges regarding her health, those challenges did not stop her from enjoying life. She continued traveling to ball games. Her destinations went from all over Texas (Odessa, Houston, Portland, Dallas, San Antonio) to Colorado. She enjoyed cruising, in which she enjoyed 2 cruise travels. She also enjoyed camping as this was her opportunity to relax with a good puzzle. She enjoyed both short and long-term traveling.

As we gather to celebrate Cirilda's life, we will forever remember the joy she brought into this world. She will be deeply missed but her memories will forever remain a guiding light. She will forever remain in our thoughts and in our hearts.
