

Heaven gained another angel on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 when Clarence Ray Meyer of Georgetown, TX passed away. Born in Taylor, TX to Clarence & Elizabeth Meyer, he graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in 1958 and attended Temple Jr College. He went on to serve in the Texas Army National Guard.
He worked for the University of Texas Printing Division for over 20 years where he served as the Local Union President. He was later selected as the International Representative for the Graphic Communications International Union from which he retired. An Acolyte at St. Louis Catholic Church, a member of the KJT and Knights of Columbus where he was a 4th degree Knight and served as Grand Knight. Additionally, he served on St. Helen’s Catholic School Board.
Clarence was a faithful, loving, generous and kind man. A diplomatic negotiator, his strength and insight were highly regarded but his witty nature made him the life of any party.
Of all his achievements his greatest accomplishments were being a beloved and devoted Husband and loving Father & Grandfather.
Clarence is survived by the love of his life, Elizabeth Meyer, children, Allan, Lisa & Brian and wife Katherine, grandchildren, Blake & Avery, sister Evelyn Nimon, cousin Jack Veselka, who was like a brother, his wife Carolyn and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Loved by all who knew him, he will be missed, but we are comforted knowing he is one of God’s special angels now.
His Vigil and Rosary will take place from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Georgetown, TX. The Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Georgetown, TX. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Taylor, TX.
