Daniel James Berto

Dan was born on May 24, 1944, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dan lived most of his life in Georgetown, Texas.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents Fredric & Ruthe Helbach Berto, sisters Jean Szymkowiak and Pat Guyant.

Dan served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam from 1964-1968 achieving rank Technical Sergeant E-7. Dan began his career at IBM as a Quality Associate Engineer working for thirty-two years, after retiring from IBM he worked for Solectron for five years. A loving husband, father and “Berto” to all. Dan thrived on helping anyone he knew with their projects big and small, a handyman extraordinaire. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, KJT Society, Saint Helen Catholic Church Fall Festival Chair for three years and an active member of Saint Helen Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginger”, stepson, Steve Vaughn (Kristi), daughter, Kathryn Ann, grandchildren, Lauren Hay (Kevin), Hayley Vaughn (Mitch), great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brianna, brother Mike Berto, sister, Jane Pascavis (Len), nephews, Bert, Daniel, Kevin, nieces, Tanya and Michelle.
