Dominga Salazar, lovingly known to many as Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, and Friend, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026. She was born on November 18, 1951, in Lubbock County, Texas. Though she was from Thorndale, Texas, Georgetown, Texas was always the place she called home. Dominga was a woman of deep love, faith, and devotion to her family. She attended New Life Ministry for many years and also worshipped alongside her children at Shoreline Church and Everyday Church. Her faith carried her through life and was reflected in the kindness and care she showed to those around her.
She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Whether she was enjoying a day at the park, relaxing by the lake, or simply gathering with family at home, those moments meant everything to her. She also loved watching her favorite television shows, including Little House on the Prairie, The Golden Girls, and The Waltons.
Dominga is reunited in Heaven with her mother, Susie San Miguel; her father, Julio Salazar; her stepfather, Porfirio San Miguel; her brother, Joe San Miguel; and her eldest daughter, Sarah Salazar.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her children Virginia “Dina,” Roy, Randy, Sandy, Ronnie, and Sarah. She was also a wonderful mother-in-law to Zak, Jacob, and Michael. She was a proud grandmother to Aubrey, Anthony, Alisa, Faith, Brianna, Sean, Dominique, Daniel, Kelsi, Gabriel, Mila, and Leilani, as well as a great-grandmother to Abel and many more beloved great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Francis, Michelle, Angel, Pete, Mary, and many extended family members and friends whose lives she touched deeply. Dominga was also a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews, all of whom she cared for dearly.
Dominga’s love, laughter, strength, and faith will continue to live on through the family she adored so deeply. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
