Born on May 14, 1924 in Rule, Texas, Eula was the only child of Bula and Austin Lott. Following graduation from Rule High School, she attended Texas Women's College until WW2 began. During the war she worked for Cabot Oil Refining in Kermit, Texas. Following the war she met Ray Perkins, and they married on June 3, 1946. They were blessed by the birth of two daughters.
Eula and Ray were committed to the Lord, and very active in the various congregations of Christians wherever they lived.
During their marriage of over 61 years, they moved over 14 times due to Ray's career selling oilfield drilling equipment. Eula was primarily a homemaker, but also worked as school secretary, bookkeeper for Humble Oil, ROC Carbon, and later at Surmat, the company she and Ray created together. She loved travel, often accompanying Ray on worldwide business trips. After retirement Eula and Ray made their home in Georgetown, where they enjoyed golf, tennis, and visits from numerous friends and family.
Eula was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by their two daughters and their spouses, Marilyn and Douglas Hultquist of Georgetown, and Barbie and Milton Jones of Amarillo. She is also survived by grandchildren Jill, Adam, and Alex Hultquist, Patrick and Jeremy Jones, and great grandchildren, Cambria, Teage, and Bryn Blanton, Anne-Marie Hultquist, and Holden and Juliet Jones.
