

Gayla Sue Floyd Light of Georgetown, Texas went to our heavenly Father on April 6, 2009 at 60 years of age. She was born on November 24, 1948 in Liberty Hill, Texas to Charles (Buster) and Nevolene Floyd. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles C. Floyd. She is survived by her mother, Nevolene Floyd of Burnet, her husband , Gary Light of Georgetown, one daughter, Melinda Brewster and James Marrow of Liberty Hill, two sons, Craig Shuffield and Christina of Leander and Kelly Shuffield and Jennifer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two step-daughters, Lynn Goode and Byron of Belton and Lyndsey Light of Round Rock, one step-son, Travis Light and April of Georgetown, 15 grandchildren, one brother, Charles E. Floyd of Burnet, Texas, Three sisters, Sandra Sheffield of Georgetown, Dian Bohanan of Georgetown and Sallye Long of Burnet, Texas; nieces nephews and many relatives and friends. She was a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ. Gayla was a career purchasing agent for many large corporations in the Central Texas area. She was a beloved wife, mother grandmother, and sister and a true friend to multitudes. Funeral services will be at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown, Texas, Friday, April 10, 2009 at 10:00am with Interment following at The Liberty Hill Cemetery.
