Glenda L. Abbott

Glenda Louise Williams Abbott of Lake Travis, Texas, 69, passed to her eternal rest Monday October 13, 2008. She was born in Palmer, Texas on February 20, 1939 to Roy and Hazel Williams. Ms. Abbott resided in the Palmer and Ennis, Texas area until 1981 when she moved to Round Rock, Texas. She joined the Round Rock Police Department as a Communications Dispatcher in 1983 and retired in 2002. She is survived by three sisters, Jill Williams and her son, Jarrod of Mineola, Texas; Roy Nell Saylors and her husband, Lee of Huntsville, Alabama; and Liz Gerow and her husband, Fred of Round Rock, Texas. The mother of four children, she is survived by Joyce Abbott of Charleston, West Virginia and her children, Zachary and Kelsy Young of Round Rock; Jack and Kerry Abbott of Hutto, Texas, and son, Corbett of Holland, Texas; Damon and Robin Abbott of Pensacola, Florida and their children, Lisa and Jacob Clapp, their daughter, Eva of Tacoma, Washington and Sam of Pensacola, Florida; and Tisha Nendell of Lake Travis and her sons, Jake Rose of Austin, Texas and Will Nendell of Lake Travis. A Celebration of Life Service will be lead by Pastor David Walther at 3 PM on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Faith Baptist Church located at 3625 Gattis School Road, Round Rock, Texas. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Southern Care Hospice, especially to RN Linda and Amanda.
