Heidi Maria Harris

On January 18, 2022, at approximately 4:08 P.M., heaven gained an angel. My mother, Heidi Maria Harris, was an amazing Wife, Mother, and Nana. Heidi Harris was born on September 12, 1958, to Edward and Maria Tuerck of San Diego, California.

Heidi was a loving mother to her daughter, Candice Hanssen, and her son, Josh Hornback.  She was an amazing grandmother, and Nana, to her grandson Gunner Edward Hanssen. Being a Nana was what she loved most, second to being married to her husband, Edward Dewayne Harris. 

While being a loving Wife, Mother, and Nana were her favorite jobs, Heidi also worked for years as an Accountant for Boy Scouts of America and other Non-Profit Organizations throughout her life. 

Anyone who truly knew Heidi, knows that she was an avid lover of animals and horses always donating to charitable organizations like the ASPCA and PETA. 

Heidi is preceded in death by her mother and father, Edward and Maria Tuerck. Heidi leaves behind her husband of twenty-four years, Edward DeWayne Harris, her daughter Candice Hanssen, grandson Gunner Edward Harris, and her son, Josh Hornback.

As per Heidi’s wishes, services will be private and for family only.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Heidi’s name to the ASPCA or PETA.
