Ignacio Flores

Ignacio Flores, 80, of Austin, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown, TX with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 1:30 PM at St. Helen's Catholic Church, 2700 East University, Georgetown, TX. 78626, with Father Jayaraju Polisetti, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Georgetown Memorial Cemetery, Georgetown. Ignacio was born on October 30, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas to Jose and Martina Saldana Flores. He grew up and attended school in Georgetown, before moving to Austin where he lived for more than forty years. On May 21, 1982, he married Alejandra Flores to whom he shared the joys of life together for over 31 years. After his retirement in the early 1990s from the construction industry, he enjoyed traveling, caring for his kittens and spending time with his family. Ignacio is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Silvia Chavez Flores; his sons, Antonio Chavez Flores and Benito Chavez Flores; his sister, Rafaela Flores; and his brother Simon Flores. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife, Alejandra; his daughters, Maria Olga Flores, Vera Nieto and Gloria Silva; his sister, Dominga Flores; his brother Jose Flores, Jr.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and other loving family and friends.
