James was born on March 19, 1955 to John David King and Mary Ann Baird King in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a lover of music and had a passion for singing in particular.
He is survived by his three loving sisters, Claudia King Williams, of Nashville, Tennessee, Mary Jo Blaine, of Waxahachie, Texas and Billie Jean King, of Ennis Texas.
There are private services planned for a later date in Waxahachie with his family.
