Jennie T Martinez

Jennie T. Martinez, 87, of Los Sauces, Colorado died Wednesday, October 5th, 2022, in Round Rock, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 19th, 1935, in Los Sauces, Colorado to Felipe and Celia Martinez.  She is survived by her children Gerold (Deborah) Gallegos of Oakridge, Tennessee, Louella (Juan) Lopez of Espanola, New Mexico, and Annette (Jose) Beltran of Jarrell Texas, 17 grandchildren, 19 great children, brothers Frank (Helen) Martinez of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Aggie (Erlinda) Martinez of Gypsum, Colorado. 

Jennie was preceded in death by her father Felipe Martinez, mother Celia Martinez, son Harold Gallegos, daughter Gloria Lopez, sister Berlinda Lucero, and brother Alfonso Martinez.

Jennie was a devout Catholic.  She received her GED in Alamosa, Colorado and went on to Adams State College.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a teacher for 20 years in Rocky Ford, Colorado.  In her retirement years she enjoyed traveling. Her most memorable trip was to the holy lands.  She enjoyed volunteer work, going to the casinos, cooking, arts and crafts, gardening, and spending time wither her family and friends.
