May Jim Rest in Peace. I'm sorry for the family's loss. He will be remembered and deeply missed.

Treasured memories of the gatherings at "The Garden of Eden "--camp fires, fairy lights, music, colorful characters, laughter & the sweet smell of BBQ---wafting in that West Texas Panhandle night air! Jim's sparkling "blue diamond "eyes ", "rapid fire" wit & tall tales defined him as The Life of the party! Jim loved reading and took his younger sister, Brenda Kay, under his wing on many visits to the public library. Jim always kept his protective eyes peeled for his younger brother, Brent, enjoying adventure on their paths to manhood..."soaring like eagles". Jim proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard a submarine. Jim was multi-faceted& brilliant--a rainbow in our darkness. Jim graduated from the University of Texas with a whoppin 4.o average. Jim rode his 10-speed bicycle to classes. Jim absolutely loved all aspects of falconry! Feeding his falcons practicing their weight management---like flying them at their right "hunger level "(slightly hungry for training/flying/& "Yarak" with "Tirings " (meat and bones) & controlled feeding--managing energy, crucial for training & performance, ensuring the falcon isn't too fat (not stead) or too thin (weak). Tall & slender, Jim proudly walked the streets "marhawking " at a young age in Lubbock Tx. Jim found joy practicing his noble "Sport of King 's". We all are grateful & enriched to have enjoyed the light Jim Keith Hudson brought into our lives. How Could We be Sooo Lucky!?? Fly away home...Jimbo. RIP Dad! RIP Brother!

Jim was the best big brother anyone could ever ask for. He was eight years older than me, but he never treated me like a “pesky little brother” tagging along. He always kept me by his side and gave me a front row seat to life. That age difference let me experience things years before I normally would have, and it truly gave me an edge.

Like Brenda said, Jim was my hero, my protector, my teacher, and my world.

He’s the one who sparked my love of nature—from my first snake at six years old, to birds of prey we trapped, to fishing trips, trapping trips, model airplanes, snake hunting, and hunting varmints. There was always excitement in not knowing what he was going to teach me next.

I will miss the time we shared over the last 69 years. I’ll miss our fall trapping trips, visits to Lubbock, his storytelling, his jokes, and even sharing a cold one out on the patio.

We talked often and agreed that when we leave this earth, we don’t really know what comes next. But we also agreed we hoped there is a cosmos—and that we’ll meet again.

And when I’m gone, I’ll know where to find him—soaring with the falcons.

Fly strong, brother.

Jim Hudson has been an absolute legend in our house for over 50 years. My husband Joe Bill Rogers and Jim were running buddies in their teenage years. Falcons were always their bond.

Jim had the best stories. He kept everyone in stitches with tales of his youthful escapades. I remember him being very smart, very likeable and most of all a true and dear friend to our family for over 50 years. Love and hugs to Brenda and the Hudson Family.

Jim was always such a good friend. Always interested in where we were in our travels and able to carry on a conversation on any topic. I enjoyed sending him pictures of hawks and falcons I would see in places away from Texas and getting a kick out of his deep knowledge of whatever bird it was.
Thinking of you Brenda and missing Jim

My brother, and when I was little he was my hero, my protector, my teacher, my world. When I close my eyes, I see you, a teenager at your desk building models and later cutting leather for hoods and jesses for your birds. Even now I can easily smell the model glue and the leather from Tandy's. Ahh, the many beautiful memories I have of thee; they are such sweet happy ones! I'll finish your book for you, Jimmy, and when I see ya again I'll fill ya in on th' ending. Love you forever, bug brother!! ♡

When I was nine years old, reading those books about childhood pals, Jim was literally the friend I wished for -- his family moved in at the other end of our block. I wasn't much good at friendship, but Jim had enough aptitude for both of us. And now, I understand, for all of us.

May you rest peacefully, dear cousin - your memory will forever be cherished with affection. Your laughter and spirit will resonate deeply within our hearts and recollections. You had a profound impact on numerous lives. You will be missed.
This is not goodbye, but see you later...
Godspeed cuz, until we meet again💙
