

John Mosqueda, 77 of Georgetown, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2010. Visitation was held on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, Georgetown. A graveside service was held at 11:00AM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, July 12, 2010. John was born December 14, 1932 in Richmond, Texas to the late Joe and Agnes Saldania Mosqueda. He is also preceded in death by his two sisters, Mary and Benita Mosqueda. John graduated from San Dia High School in New Mexico. He went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After his service in the Air Force, John received his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Monterrey. John was a disc jockey and a talk show host for over 30 years. He worked for several different radio stations, even owning his own for many years. His talk show, “The Johnny Francis Show”, was on the airways for many years, entertaining many people. John leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Rosa E. Mosqueda; his children, John Mosqueda, Lynn Brooks, John Warren and Arthur Mosqueda; his granddaughter, Rosalynn Brooks; along with many other loving extended family, friends, and radio fans.
