

Having lived a remarkable and enviable life, Carr Pritchett passed away gently on Sunday morning, January 31, 2016. He was one-week short of his 95th birthday. He was a Marine veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Carr was a talented artist, a lifelong cattleman, and an accomplished angler. Carr was a graduate of Southern Methodist University and a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. After his retirement, Carr resided at Rainbo Lake outside of Athens, Texas; Mesilla, New Mexico; and Georgetown, Texas.
Carr was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 54 years, Estelle (Frauenfelder) Pritchett. He is survived by his children: John Carr Pritchett, Jr. of Houston, TX; Marianne Uhlemann of Santa Fe, NM; a daughter-in-law, Yvonne Pritchett of Round Rock; grandchildren: Sam (Yvette) Pritchett of Round Rock, TX; Chris Uhlemann of New Mexico; Lisa Uhlemann of New Mexico; Adrienne (Tony) Salazar of Bee Cave, TX; Ashley (J.Brandon) Barnes of Round Rock, TX; Beau (Kim) Embree of Georgetown, TX; and six great-grandchildren: Ethan, Zoe, Skye, Embree, Jasper, and Daryn. Carr was one of four children and is survived by his older sister, Ann Conner. Carr was also blessed to have many cherished friends.
A gathering to celebrate Carr’s life is pending. For those interested in making a donation, Carr supported the American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
