

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with Rosary to follow on Monday November 24, 2025, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jarrell, TX. Following the service, Joe will be laid to rest at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Gabriels funeral home.
Joe was born in Corn Hill, TX on December 15, 1933, to his loving parents Rudolph and Della Fojtik. He was raised in Corn Hill, TX and attended school in Corn Hill, TX until eighth grade and then attended Jarrell High School where he played football, baseball, basketball, track and showed pigs in 4-H Club.
Joe was married to his loving wife Joann Fojtik. They spent 59 years building a beautiful life together raising a family in Jarrell, TX. They had two children that they shared this life with together –Mike Fojtik and Gene Fojtik. Joe was extremely family oriented and dedicated his life to his family.
Joe started life out working on the farm until he enlisted in the army and was stationed in Panama. After returning he purchased the family farm and played baseball with a group in Corn Hill. He worked at the cotton gin, Harrison Feed and Grain, Cattle Auction Barn in Georgetown, and Capital Land and Livestock. Joe spent countless hours on the tractor tending to his crops and livestock. Joe was a hardworking, generous, and a straightforward man who loved to sit and talk with whoever would come and visit. He had a way of communicating that was steadfast and firm. His devotion to his faith was unwavering which he instilled in his children and grandchildren.
Joe is survived by his wife, Joann Fojtik (Vrana), and children, Mike Fojtik, Gene Fojtik and wife Deanna Fojtik. Grandchildren Stephanie Zimmerhanzel and husband Keith Zimmerhanzel, Christina Mazoch and husband Colton Mazoch, and Katriana Fojtik, and Great grandsons James Zimmerhanzel, Jacob Zimmerhanzel, and Colt Mazoch. Sister, Evelyn Garza and husband John Garza, and brother, Rudy Fojtik.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents Rudolph and Della Fojtik and his brother Harry Fojtik.
Serving as Pallbearers are David Marek, Allen Tschoerner, Johnny Valenta, Jimmie Vrabel, Bryon Goode Jr., and Chris Klepac.
Honorary pallbearers are Mike Fojtik, Gene Fojtik, Mike Vrana, Paul Bonkowski, Milton Vrabel, Chuck Barton, Brandon Danek, Dave Helms, Benny Klepac, Gonny Berrios, Keith Zimmerhanzel, Colton Mazoch, James Zimmerhanzel, Colt Mazoch, and Jacob Zimmerhanzel.
