Joyce G. Harrison, 77 of Bedford (formerly of Georgetown) passed away at her home June 3, 2007. Rev. Don Gurney will officiate at graveside services at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 in the IOOF Cemetery in Georgetown. Joyce was born February 26, 1930 to Ray and Molly (McCullough) Gude in Florence. She worked as a driver’s license examiner for the Dept of Motor Vehicles from 1968-1984 when she retired. Joyce moved to Bedford two years ago from Georgetown to be near family. She was member of the Main Street Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, where she held several offices. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and sisters; Allene Ray and Cleo Bishop. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons; Doug and his wife, Mary of Euless and David of Bedford, sister; Clara Shell of Georgetown, grandchildren; Shelly and her husband Chris Valentine, Anthony Harrison, two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at The Gabriel’s Funeral Chapel.
