Keith Robert Jones

Keith Jones died at his home in Round Rock, Texas, on April 13, 2020.  Keith was born March 24, 1958, in Austin, Texas.  Keith was a distinguished Electrical Engineer receiving multiple degrees from Oklahoma State University and also worked toward his Doctorate at Ohio University.  Keith served in the Air Force for 11 years reaching the rank of Major before entering the private sector.  He worked for several engineering firms in Southern California and was recognized as the engineer of the year by one firm.  He was awarded five patents tied to his research and development.  Keith was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He moved to Edmond to care for his ailing mother until her death after which he returned to his birth state of Texas.  Keith’s many friends knew him as an avid Oklahoma State sports fan.  Keith’s compassionate heart will be missed but never forgotten.  All who knew him are now grateful that he is in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ.    

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Thelma Jones, of Edmond, Oklahoma, and a brother, William Jones, of San Juan Capistrano, California.  He is survived by Michael and Karen Jones, Olathe, Kansas, niece, Amy Jones, Olathe, Kansas, niece Laura Deitz, her husband, David, and their children Lily, Keira, and Alya, of London, England, one nephew, Michael Jones, of Santa Ana, California, and William’s wife, Christine Jones, of San Juan Capistrano, California.
