Kenneth "Ken" Floyd Omodt

Kenneth “Ken” Floyd Omodt, 74, entered into rest May 20, 2011 in Georgetown, Texas. Ken was born December 28, 1936 to Floyd P. and Louise (Pallas) Omodt in St. Paul, Minnesota and was a beloved husband, father and brother. Ken raised his six children in the St. Paul area and worked as a Senior Quality Engineer for 3M. In 1986 he was transferred to Texas with the Telcomm Division, finally retiring after 40 years of service. Once in Texas, Ken met Karen and they married on December 14, 1990 in Georgetown, Texas. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Georgetown Country Club for 25 years. Ken is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gerald Omodt. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Karen; siblings, Joan and Robert Flaherty, James and Pat Omodt, and Robert and Kathy Omodt; children, Kathleen Hubert-Wyss and husband Cort, John Omodt, Bill Omodt and wife Sandra, Christine Omodt-Lopez and husband Frank, Maureen Omodt, Toni Scribner and husband Matt, Shelli Perez and partner Alan Lorton, Shannon Perez-Green and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Tyler Hubert, Austin and Jenner Omodt, Mitch and Alyssa Omodt, Angelina, Michael, Anthony, and Angie Omodt-Lopez, Evan, Zach and Grace Scribner, James Lemon, and Justus Green. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Georgetown. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Our Lady of The Rosary Cemetery. Honoring his memory as pallbearers will be: John Omodt, Bill Omodt, Cort Wyss, Matt Scribner, Alan Lorton, and Kevin Green. Honorary pallbearers are: Robert Omodt and James Omodt. There will be a memorial service held in Minnesota on Wednesday June 15, 2011 at 7:00 pm in the Eagan Hills Church, 700 Diffy Road, Eagan, Minnesota.
