

Lana Krueger Reese, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025, surrounded by family and love. Born on December 2, 1954, Lana lived a vibrant life filled with warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.
Lana is preceded in death by her husband, Danny Reese; son, Aaron Reese; and her mother, Sheila Krueger. She is lovingly survived by her father, Tommy Krueger; brother, Scott Krueger and sister-in-law, Susan Krueger; children, Alesia Schneider and son-in-law, Keith Schneider, Allen Reese and daughter-in-law, Desiree Reese; and cherished grandchildren, Addison Schneider, Peyton Schneider, Anya Reese, Lilly Reese, and Lucy Reese; and many nieces and a nephew.
A proud graduate of Bartlett ISD, Lana earned her bachelor's degree from Southwestern University and dedicated 34 meaningful years teaching in Georgetown ISD, influencing countless lives through her compassion and commitment to education.
Lana's love of life was evident in her favorite pastimes. She was an avid reader who treasured the companionship of a good book and discussions about literature with family and peers.. Passionate about genealogy, Lana spent countless hours researching and preserving family histories. She found immense joy in attending her grandchildren's activities, whether it was choir performances, dance recitals, baseball games, football games, or cheer competitions. Lana also enjoyed country dancing, spending many happy evenings twirling through the old dance halls along the backroads of Texas. Her legendary Sunday meals brought her family together regularly, creating lasting memories and deepening bonds.
Lana enjoyed traveling during her retirement. Special to her was Mark Cretney - her avowed life partner. She deeply cherished her time with Mark and enjoyed trips all over the world, especially to London, with him.
Lana's generous spirit, joyful laughter, and loving heart will be deeply missed but forever celebrated by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and family devotion lives on through her children and grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Salado Cemetery at 10:00am. A gathering to celebrate Lana’s life will be held at the Schwertner Community Center following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Schwertner Community Center, PO Box 57, Schwertner, Texas 76573 ℅ Allen Reese.
