LeRoy Williams Friedrich

LeRoy married Dolly Hicks on December 12, 1952 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bartlett. 

LeRoy served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska.  After his service in the military, he returned to Bartlett and began farming.  He later became a mechanic at the Ford Dealership and then began his own business as an Electrician.  They moved to Georgetown in 1978 where his electrical business was booming.

As a scoutmaster in Bartlett in the 1970s, he had many adventures and led several boys to the rank of Eagle Scout.  He loved giving the grandchildren tractor/trailer rides.  He took great joy in being surrounded by his family.  He was an inventor as well.  If he couldn’t find a product he needed, he would create one.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Dolly Friedrich, three children Lynn Roy Friedrich, Terry Joe Friedrich and wife Sherry Friedrich, and Darla Joy Ward and husband Jack T Ward, ten grandchildren, Memorie Spears, Heather Dore and husband Daniel, Candice Friedrich, Kyle Friedrich, Beth Friedrich, Kacie Pryor and husband Lance, Kayla Friedrich, Cayman Ward, Cohen Ward and Caiya Ward, numerous great-grandchildren and his sister, Marilyn Shepherd and husband, Lonnie.

He is predeceased in death by his parents Leslie and Helen Friedrich and his brother, William Friedrich.

Funeral services will be held Monday Feb 10, at 10 am at Crestview Baptist Church.
