
Leslie M. Cole (Jack) age 91 of Cedar Park, Texas was called to his eternal home by our Savior on February 9, 2008. He was born on October 23, 1916 in Snyder, Texas. After graduating from Snyder High School in 1936, he started working for the Santa Fe Railroad treating water for steam engines. He was promoted to telegraph operator and later train dispatcher and his career with the railroad lasted 40 years. Trains remained a passion for his entire life. He married Mary Lou Bailey October 25, 1941 in Hamlin, Texas and celebrated 55 years of marriage before she was called to heaven. He was a devout Christian involved in the Baptist church for decades. Even though he did not have a lot of material wealth, he gave generously and cared not only about family and friends but about strangers in need. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Pearl Cole, a sister Zora Lee Mckinney, and his wife Mary Lou. He is survived by his daughter Mary Menzel and husband Frank; grandson, Clay, granddaughter, Leslie, and sister Johnnye Warren. There are 5 nieces and nephews. Leslie will lay in state on Tuesday February 12, 2008 from 10am to 5pm at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, in Georgetown with Graveside services, Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at IOOF cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
