
Margaret Mabel Williams Martin Mabel was born October 29, 1912 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to John Andrew and Sarah Pearson Williams and departed this life March 10, 2008. She was the sixth of seven children, the youngest dying as a baby in the flu epidemic. Mabel married Paul C. Martin on March 29, 1931 and cherished nearly 66 years of marriage. She was a homemaker and enjoyed all handicrafts, especially sewing, knitting and needlepoint. She was a charter member of San Gabriel Presbyterian Church of Georgetown, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her brothers George, Art and Ralph Williams and her sisters, Eula Shepherd and Anna Reed. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn “Kitty” White and husband Kent of Georgetown, Texas, grandson Colin White and wife Penny of Fort Wayne, Indiana, granddaughter Deb Cervin and husband Jim Bob of Rockwell, North Carolina, and great grandchildren Adie and Mabry Paul Cervin, Xander and Quint White. Mabel’s life will be celebrated in a memorial service at San Gabriel Presbyterian Church, 5404 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78633, at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 15, 2008. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the San Gabriel Presbyterian Church “Bridge to the Future” Fund. The family wishes to express their extreme gratitude to the staff of the Temple Meridian for the wonderful care they gave Mabel, especially after she moved to the health care facility.
