Mary Ellen Kelley

Mary Ellen Kelley, 61, of Georgetown passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Mary Ellen was born in Austin, Texas on August 3, 1947 and lived in the Austin area her entire life, moving to Georgetown with her family in 1984. In her youth Mary Ellen attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and St. Mary’s Academy, and worked for 3M Corporation for many years where she was greatly respected and admired. Mary Ellen was totally devoted to her family and served as a model for unconditional love to all who knew her. Her kind heart and generous spirit touched the lives of many. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and close friends for a celebration, and found great joy in playing BINGO and traveling with her husband Roy, especially to the casinos in Louisiana. Mrs. Kelley is survived by her husband, Roy Kelley of Georgetown, her son John Brinkley and his former wife, Bonnie of Round Rock, her son Rick Brinkley and his wife Marty of Georgetown, her son Michael Brinkley and his wife, Amy, and her son Jerry Brinkley of Georgetown, her grandchildren Tyler, Shane, Aric, Branden, Amber, Chellcee, Jamie, and Sydni, her brother, William Shean and his wife, Carolyn, great aunt, Helen Nassour, cousins, Harvey and Rosie Sab, Joe Sab, and Michael Nassour, nieces and nephews Kasaundra and Tyler. Mary Ellen was preceded in death my her mother Addie Marie Nassour Shean, her uncles Ferris, Edward, and Martin Nassour, and her aunt Agnes Sab. A funeral service will be held at The Gabriels Funeral Home at 4:00 on Saturday, September 6, 2008 with visitation from 2:00 to 4:00. Mary Ellen’s favorite charity was St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the family would be honored by donations in her name at www.stjude.org/donate.
