Mary Elizabeth Jennings McFarland

Mary Elizabeth “Tinkum” Jennings was born in Liberty Hill, Texas on January 30, 1926 to C.G. “Gerald” Jennings and Bessie Duckett. Mary Elizabeth died on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Heartland Healthcare, Austin, Texas.

She worked her entire career for the Austin State School and was blessed with a long retirement to enjoy many years of spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her three sons Gary McFarland, Donnie McFarland (Lynn) and Bruce McFarland (Darwa). Her four grandsons Brent McFarland, Brian McFarland, Mace McFarland and Adam McFarland, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and two nieces. In addition she is survived by her longtime companion Jim Good and sister Rona McCown. She is preceded in death by Orville McFarland and brother Sam Jennings.

The McFarland family would like to thank the staff of Heartland Healthcare for their care of Tinkum for the past ten years. Memorial services are scheduled for 1PM, Saturday, September 30, 2017, at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory with a gathering and visitation to begin at Noon.
