Mercedes was born on September 20, 1925 to Leovigildo and Victoria (Martinez) Diaz in Georgetown, Texas.
She worked for a number of years at The Wesleyan as a nurses aide. Mercedes liked gardening and loved her flowers and always took great care of her family.
Visitation will be held at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 393 N Interstate Hwy 35, Georgetown, TX 78628, on September 17, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location beginning at 11:00.
A Committal Service will take place at Georgetown Memorial Cemetery, 1301 Weir Rd, Georgetown, TX 78626, on September 17, 2026.
