Patsy Laverne Roberson Sundberg

Patsy LaVerne Sundberg, 74, formerly of Jarrell, passed away peacefully holding the hand of loved ones in Cedar Park, on Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Patsy’s family will gather for a time of fellowship and memories on Friday, December 31, 2010 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at The Gabriel’s Funeral Chapel,393 North IH 35, Georgetown, Texas. A service celebrating Patsy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at the IOOF Cemetery. Patsy, AKA Mom or Grandma Pat, was born on March 8, 1936 in Austin, Texas to the late Edward Cornelius Roberson and Augusta Lee Morrison Roberson. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 13 years, Elmer Sundberg, Sr., her sons, Robert “Bobby” Bouvier and Loyd Sundberg and 10 brothers and sisters. Patsy was raised in the Austin area and lived in Jarrell most of her life. She worked as a waitress, school bus driver, and also managed two local gas stations over the years. Patsy enjoyed crafting and loved playing BINGO. She was known for her story telling and the ability to make others laugh. Her grandchildren made her the happiest in the world. Patsy enjoyed spending time with them and singing to them. Patsy liked both kinds of music (country and western), dancing, telling jokes, finding a good deal at the local garage sales, shopping with family, and cooking. Patsy leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Patricia Quintanilla and her husband Raymond of Georgetown, Cathy Sundberg of Austin; her sons, Elmer Sundberg, Jr. of Temple, Jody (Bucky) Sundberg and his wife Tracey of Georgetown, Carl Sundberg and his wife Anita of Jarrell and Donnie Sundberg and wife Virginia of Georgetown; her sister, Barbara Bean; her 18 grandchildren, John, Brandon, Denise, Angela, Jason, Michael, Robert, Jaron, Kurstyn, Chelci, Del, Diana, Amanda, Jennifer, Traci, Scott, David, Danny; and her 19 great grandchildren; along with numerous other loving family members and friends. Commonly question our family has been asked by friends is: “What can I do to help?” Our Response:”What can the family do for you?” She loved us all. Thanks to everyone for being a part of her life and allowing her to be a part of yours. The family feels sorrow for the loss to others in her life. Not enough can ever be said how important and special she was to so many people. She will be forever missed and remembered.
