

Richard “Dick” Stone, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 27, 2017, in Leander, TX. Dick was born in Elizabeth, NJ to Frederick Stone and Dorothy Hanes Stone on May 17, 1952. Dick had a magnetic personality that will be missed and remembered fondly by many.
After his childhood in Wisconsin, Dick adopted Texas as his home, moving here in 1980. For much of his adult life, Dick lived and worked in the Austin/Georgetown area as a Construction Project Manager. In 1997, Dick met and married his lifetime love, Suzanna Martin. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters whom he considered his greatest accomplishments. Dick is survived by his wife Suzanna, and their children Frances (19) and Alexandra Stone (16). Other surviving family members include his mother, Dorothy Stone; his brothers James, David, and Robert; and his sister, Nancy Stone-Johnson. Dick’s three aunts, myriad cousins, and long-time friends will also continue to remember Dick after his passing.
Dick is preceded in death by his father, Frederick Stone; his sister, Barbara Michaels; and his niece, Susan Michaels. Dick was named after his uncle who was a WWII hero.
The visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2 from 3 to 5 PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown, TX. Rosary will be said at 4:00 PM. The funeral will be on Monday, April 3, at 10 AM at St Helen Catholic Church, 2700 E University Ave, Georgetown, TX.
