Robert Lee Calhoun

Robert Lee Calhoun, 77, of Seguin passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011. A memorial service celebrating Robert’s life will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown, Texas 78628. Robert was born January 8, 1934 in Fairfield, Iowa to the late Herbert Lee and Dorothy Alice Gilbert Calhoun. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over 37 years, Patsy L. Calhoun, who died on February 12, 2011; the mother of his two children, Janyce Beth Calhoun, who died in 1989; and his step-daughter, Dana Lyn Floyd. Robert attended Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, where he received his Bachelor’s degree. He worked in Sales and Marketing for many years. Robert worked for Lenox China for a number of years before going to work for Scentsations. He retired as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Scentsations. He and Patsy have lived in the Seguin area for the past 14 years. Robert enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, they were his joy. Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, John Calhoun and his wife Laura and Julie Calhoun Bijou and her husband Allen; his beloved grandchildren, Daryl L. Holliday and wife Briana, Nikki Holliday, Annika Bijou, Stephan Bijou, Clay Calhoun and Kara Calhoun; great granddaughter, Hannah Lea Moore; along with several other loving family members and friends.
