Ronald Gordon Fox was born on March 5th, 1965 and went to be with the Lord on June 3rd, 2022, at the age of 57. He was happily married to his wife, Tomie Fox for 33 years, a loving father to his four children, and a pastor to all for 22 years. He loved his family and took so much pride in being a grandfather to his 9 precious grandchildren. He never met a stranger and always looked for any opportunity to minister and help others. He was a simple man; you could always find him outside working on a project. He was known to always have someone else’s car in the driveway that he was working on. He really found joy in having people over for a meal, he was known for his delicious gumbo and amazing breakfast skillet. He never missed an opportunity to take the grandkids on a tractor or lawnmower ride. He loved to get his kids on stage to do any impromptu performance, even if they weren’t prepared. He enjoyed working with his hands, whether it be building something for one of his grand kids, working on something for the farm, a project for one of his loved ones, and helping one of the many people he ministered to.
One of his favorite verses was Philippians 4:8-9, it says:
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
He will be missed by many, but the impact he had on all of those around him will never be forgotten. He was a true example of how to show the love of Christ to others. The legacy he leaves behind with his family and the many people he helped will last for generations.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Fox, and his sister, Margie Hughes. He leaves behind his wife, Tomie Fox, their four children and spouses, Carol Ann and Brett Hunter, Allison and Will Gilley, Matthew and Amanda Fox, and Nancy Fox and her fiancé Alex Galindo. He also leaves behind his father, Ronald Dee Fox, his sister and her husband Karen and Mike McMillan, his nieces and nephews, Waylon Hughes, Sarah Hughes, and Thomas Blohn, and his 9 grandchildren, Bristol, Jaxon, Easton, Kimber, Reese, Crew, Brady, Kennedy, and Max.
