The family moved to Andrews, TX, before settling in Odessa, TX where she graduated from Permian High School in 1970. She moved to Austin, TX soon after where she met and later married David Pavliska and raised their two children, Summer Lena Pavliska and Chad Arthur Pavliska. She worked in management at the State of Texas Department of Transportation and remained in Austin until her retirement after 30 years of service. In 2002, Tanya joined and then married the late John Earl Goode in Phoenix, AZ who had known her since childhood. The entire Goode family immediately accepted her as one of their own. She also discovered golf, which she loved because it introduced her to an amazing community of friends. Tanya and John lived very happily together enjoying golf and spending time with their friends and family until John Earl's passing in 2004. The entire Goode family always remained close to her heart. In 2005, Tanya found true love and happiness in Jack Yancy. She later called home and reported that she found a great man who was built like a football player, and most importantly, made her laugh and smile everyday. For all that knew her, nothing could be more important than to be able to live life with a smile on your face. For this, her kids are eternally grateful to Jack and the rest of the Yancy family. From the beginning she was welcomed by Jack's daughters and families, and loved spending time with their children. She will be missed by many from Arizona to Texas. She is survived by her two children, Summer and Chad, his wife Kerri and daughter Faith, her siblings Roy Martin Jr, Deborah Adams, and Gaylin Sutphen along with their families, John Earl's children Kelly Goode and Kristy Goode-Artz.
