William G. Jensen

After 77 years of being with family and friends, William “Bill” Jensen has gone home to be with the Lord. Bill was born May 3, 1931 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and passed away in Georgetown, Texas on August 5, 2008, after a 4 month battle from complications incurred during heart surgery. Bill was a 1949 graduate of Corpus Christi High School. Soon after graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served in Korea during the Korean War. After service in the military he joined the Corpus Christi Police Force, and later went into Real Estate and eventually owning his own Real Estate Company. Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sarah “Sally” Jensen. Bill and Sally raised five children together: Joetta Waltemathe of Corpus Christi, Terry Klare of Dallas, Gary Moore of Corpus Christi, William Jensen Jr. and Robert Jensen, both of Georgetown. Bill has eight grandchildren, Kevin Klare of New York, New York, Gabriel Klare of Dallas, Texas, John and Jennifer Atkins of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jed and Jordan Waltemathe of College Station, Texas, and Dylan and Taylor Jensen of Georgetown. Three great grandchildren, Jacob and Emma Grace Klare of Dallas, Texas, and Elena and Chloe Atkins of Corpus Christi, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Friday, August 8, 2008 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 N. IH 35, Georgetown, Texas 78628, a committal service will follow at Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
