God gave me an amazing dad. Then in 2010, he blessed me again with the best father in law. He was protective of me, wise and strong. He would call to say hello, I would call to get advice. One year, he sent me to Knott's Berry Farm just so I wouldn't go to Disneyland, again. He knew what to say, even if he knew I wouldn't like it. His laugh will always resonate in my heart. I will cherish every word. He loved me like his own. My heart is broken for his time on earth has come to an end. I know God's plan is perfect, and I am thankful for my second dad, Alphonso N. Esgana. That wise grumpy man that stood in my corner until his last day with us. I love you, Dad Al. I will miss you, everyday.

I worked with Al many times on the SP/UP railroad.  He was always a pleasure to work with.  I am very sorry to hear of his passing.  Please accept my condolences and prayers for his family.
