Alvin spent his early years in De Grey, where he attended school for eight years. On December 4, 1957, he married the love of his life, Yvonne McCamly. Together, they built a beautiful family and were blessed with four sons: Lesley (Linda), Lee, Larry, and Lonnie (Lucia), and two daughters: Lisa Avilas (Gilbert) and Lori Sambrano (Louie).
Family was always at the heart of Alvin's life, and his legacy shines through his extensive family tree. Together with Yvonne, he delighted in the company of eighteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Iva Taylor, six brothers, three sisters, and his father-in-law. His memory lives on in the hearts of his family.
