I have a daughter who is graduating this week from High School. We where looking at my yearbook from Northview HS and remembered Amber. We where in the same art class for about 2years and attended ArtCenter at about the same time After high school. I graduated artcenter in 2004.

I will like to leave a note of condolences  to Ambers family. She was an amazing artist in high school and was pleasantly surprised to see her at ArtCenter. I would walk into the student store at ArtCenter and she always had a smile for me and I for her. I was glad to see a familiar, friendly face. The curriculum was tough with little time to spare. I remember having a short conversation with Amber. I should have slowed down a bit. She was always in a “chill” mood. Always giving. A true artist! She will be missed.

But Amber you do know how much you mean to me, I have told you every year of your life how much I love you. From the day you were born, you were my special girl, the girl with a smile that could light up a room. I am now and will always be so proud of you. I will miss you all the days left of my life.  I hear your voice in my head, your infectious giggle that could always make me laugh. Everything you mean to me cannot be put into words, my love.
Jim,and Cheryl,  you have lost so much, but you can be so proud that you two together raised such a beautiful,young woman, who was lovely inside and out. You gave her to the world for all of us to love and enjoy with you. My heart breaks for you.
Pat, you have lost big Sis, the one who always had your back, who always loved you no matter what, she cannot be replaced.

Will love and miss you forever! Your life was taken much too early but I know that God has plans for you, yes he needed an Angel and that was You!  I know your with us and will be with us too.  I have such fun memories with you forever in my heart with our road trip, Angel games and shopping outings. I wasn't ready for you to go but I do believe God's in control and he will guide us to live our life with you in our hearts. Such a beautiful spirit for all of us to look up too. Amber was an inspiration to me at the Student Store at Art Center.  Her sense of responsibility to her job and the students and faculty was admirable.  She was always there to help anyone who needed it.  Amber and I had a wonderful time working together for many years.  We read books together, talked about history, art and religion, watched movies together and we laughed and laughed.  I know we will all miss her until we meet again.

I was saddened to hear that Amber passed away. Amber was my cousin and one that I admire so much for the fight she gave against this horrible disease.  Her life here on earth was taken to early, but she left us all with the beauty of her life on earth. Her talents will always be on display. I will not say "good bye" Amber as I know that we will see each other again. Cheryl, Jim and Pat, I know words will not always ease the pain but know that Amber made a difference in this world. Anyone that knew her here on earth was truly blessed. Take care.

I always remember that Amber and Pat were into constellations and the universe. I will always remember talking to Amber about these things. I remember she had a glow in the dark map of all the different constellations. We played video games and liked to be goofy. Now whenever I look to the sky and see those stars I will think of Amber.

Amber you were so loved by family and friends because of the caring and love you had in your heart for others.  Our loss in not knowing you thru all the years is great, but our love for you is forever.  We pray now for your mother , father and brother as we know that you are in the wonderful hands of our Heavenly Father. Until we meet again, all our love.

Amber Elaine Gray was born on March 24,1976 at 11:55 am. Once she was placed in her mother's and father's arms it was an instant love affair. Amber was always a sweet child who grew into a beautiful young woman inside and out. She was the apple of her daddy's eye and her Mom's best friend. She was  a loving daughter and a great big sister to her brother, Pat. She had a happy childhood growing up with her friends and cousins. She was a good student and achieved many academic awards. During her years at Las Palmas she became interested in art winning the achievement award for her drawings and paintings. This love of art continued through her years at Northview High School winning scholarships and ribbons for several art contests. She attended Pasadena Art College of Design receiving her Bachelor's degree in illustration in 2002. When her dream job for Pixar did not happen she accepted employment with Follett College book store and worked there 13 years.  She became an accomplished Apple technician and later Computer Department  Manager. Amber's professionalism in the computer department became clear as she became the go to expert in Apple computers obtaining an million dollars in sales for the store in 2014. She loved many things including Iron Maiden concerts, drawing in her sketchbooks, attending Angel games with her Mom, reading, learning to knit, Dallas Cowboys and playing her grandfather's accostic guitar. She loved hanging out with her two best friends, Anna and Patsy and her family. She was a great gamer and loved the Comm Con conventions which she attended each year in San Diego. In addition Amber loved loved going to Las Vegas and gambling. She became pretty good at winning at slots.   During her illness, Jenny her cousin introduced Amber to the television show Big Bang Theory by sending her all seven seasons on DVDS. She watched it daily and it was the only thing that made her laugh. On her bad days, her cousin, Jenny, her friends and even her Mom would often sing her Soft Kitty and sometimes she would join in and sing it back to them. Amber loved all the staff at the City of Hope especially her onocologist, Dr Awasthi -and his team. No matter how badly she felt she would  have a smile on her face for her doctor, nurses, family and friends. She became known as the cupcake girl at the clinic due to always bringing her doctor and his staff cupcake treats. When Amber would walk into the ICU ward the nurses would yell Amber alert there is a Amber on the floor. Amber once told her Mom that it was okay that her family was not rich but she had already won the parent lottery in having the best Dad and Mom a girl could have.  Sadly the treatments failed to stop the spread of her illness and she was still smiling up to the day she became God's newest angel on March 16, 2015. Amber's spirit will continue to live on through our love for her and our memories. Her life was a blessing, her memory is a treasure and she will be missed beyond words. Rest in peace our sweet girl.

Im so sorry to hear of Amber's passing. I moved away as a youngster and never got the honor of meeting Amber. I have reconnected with your father Amber and I promise you, I will reconnect with you in the future. You fought like a true champion, you are a inspiration to us all cousin.

Amber, you will deeply be missed, never forgotten. I will miss all the holidays we all spent together at our parents house and of course Grandma & Grandpa's (or Auntie Lynn and Uncle Jim) lol.  All the good ol'days. We will never forget your smile, laughs, and good heart. We love you!!

I would like to express my sincere condolences for your great loss. Please take comfort in drawing close to God in prayer, knowing that he cares about you and is there to help you cope (Psalm 34:17,18, Philippians 4:6,7). Someday soon there will be no more death and we will live on an earth where God will fulfill our every desire (Psalms 37:29). Until that time, I pray that those close to the deceased find strength and comfort in each other.

It is hard for me to remember life before I knew you, Amber. Almost eight years ago I met you and quickly after that you took me under your wing and showed me what true friendship really is. You were supportive without being pushy, you were funny but never at anyone's expense, you gave your honest opinions without judging, but most important of all, you were genuinely and inarguably caring. You helped anyone you could and never complained. We laughed so much together -- on our way to Comic Con every year, at Frank & Sons, in your room, eating animal-style fries no onions, playing Spinner with your family, at Roberta's, at the movies, and even stuck in a ridiculously long traffic jam on our way back from Las Vegas. My dear sister, I will never forget you. Nobody but you will ever know how much I loved you. We bickered and argued and made each other mad but we always knew we were there for each other no matter what--even through a zombie apocalypse. I will miss you for the rest of my life. Rest in peace by bestie -- I'll see you again one day.

I was so saddened to hear about Amber's passing, but I remember in the time that I knew her that she was very well-respected by her customers, and she brought such a light into Art Center.  She was cheerful, always happy, incredibly smart and I couldn't help but smile when I was around her.  She will be so missed, and my deepest condolences go to her family and friends.

Amber was a lighthearted spirit and helpful by nature.  She had a quirky personality, and although I didn't know her well she is someone I will definitely remember.  She was extremely positive, friendly, and always looking to brighten other people's days.

I am so shocked to hear of Amber's passing. I can't say I knew her well, but she was always so helpful and happy in the student store every time I saw her there. She will be missed by so many people, I know as an Art Center student I can speak for us all when I say we appreciate her and how helpful she always was. May she rest in peace.

I was shocked and so saddened to hear of Amber's passing. I chatted with her numerous times at the Art Center Student store, and her positive and compassionate demeanor always brightened my day. Even when I wasn't interacting with her directly, I would often overhear her crack jokes with her coworkers or other customers--her sense of humor always brought a smile to my face. One particular time I remember her joking about Pokemon, and while I forget the specifics, I was cracking up. Her humor and kindness were really wonderful and a distinct bright spot at Art Center. She will be missed in a big way. My deepest condolences go out to her family and loved ones.

 I am so saddened to hear of Amber's passing, and I want to express my sympathies to the Gray family. I had the pleasure of Amber's assistance on many, many occasions in the Student Store at Art Center. In fact, she helped me buy my laptop, and I will always think fondly of her every time I use it. I will miss Amber's sense of humor and her willingness to answer any and all of my technical questions.

It may have been several years since we have seen the Gray family, but we've been friends forever. Amber & Rob, our oldest son, used to be best buddies of the neighborhood. Sweet, kind girl with beautiful parents. 

Our hearts & lives will never be the same, after Amber left this world to sit with Jesus. Sadness doesn't come close to the feelings we know Cheryl, Jim & Pat are experiencing right now. Love you guys & will never stop praying for you!

What a valiant battle was fought.  The Warrior spirit that flowed through your veins proved how courageous you were.  Your passing leaves all of us reeling and wondering how we will fill the void you leave behind.  I never knew you personally, but will always hold you in that special place in my heart, where I can draw strength and courage when I need a true example of what courage is.

We had the pleasure of working with Amber at Art Center College of Design while selling art and education products to the store. Her enthusiasm for our books and DVDs was always an inspiration to keep making more. Often, she would know what was coming the store's way before we got there because she always listened  to customers, students, faculty and staff. We thank her for her overwhelming support. We will miss her kindness, her collaboration, her humor and her smile. Our thoughts are with her family...

I was heartbroken with the news of Amber's passing.  I did not know her personally, but felt as if I did with her father's updates on Facebook. She fought the battle well. Hugs and prayers to her family and friends. Rest in peace,  sweet Amber.

I knew Amber through my time at Art Center.  I was shocked to hear the news.  
Amber always put others before herself; I wouldn't have known she was sick.  She went out of her way to help me out and went beyond the duties of her job.  It was comforting through my stressful time at school.  I only wish comfort for her and the family.  You are all in my thoughts.

I was very saddened to hear of Amber's passing - she was such a strong presence that it seems impossible.  It was wonderful to have gotten to know Amber over the years, first as colleagues and then friends at Art Center.  She was very special, warm and very kind and I always looked forward to talking with her - even when it was work related it never felt like work. I'm very glad I got to spend at least a little time with her and will always remember her with great affection.

I am so sad to get this news about Amber.  I loved working with her at Art Center and I can't really believe she is gone.  She was always so helpful and knowledgable and way too young to leave us.

She was a gem, I'm so sorry to hear this, I didn't know she was ill.  She helped me so many times in so many ways.  I wrote a letter recommending her to be chosen as "employee of the year"  I was very disappointed she didn't receive the award, she certainly deserved it.  Sending prayers, love and condolences.

I am so sorry to hear of Amber's loss. While our paths didn't cross often, she was always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful  and she had a twinkle in her eyes. She will be missed by all of us in the Design Office.

Amber was a fellow Mac geek.  Even when I didn't have supplies to purchase, I knew Amber was worth a trip to the store after each Apple  keynote.  She was great to talk with about recent tech developments. Always at the store with a smile, a chuckle, and a friendly, educated dig at the newest Apple announcement, she knew exactly how tech impacted the kind of work we all do.  She helped us all.

As an instructor at ACCD I enjoyed my collaboration and sales guidance from
Amber for many years. She was alwaysa kind, informative and a caring person.

I was a Grad film student and Amber was always informing me on the latest software to enhance my films. I remember she would often take her lunch break in the student cafeteria while reading a sci-fi/fantasy novel....Her dedication and commitment, I will never forget.

My name is Errol Gerson, and I have taught at Art Center for the past 44 years and Amber was one of my students and someone I got to know well as I saw her one day in the Bookstore and we would say hello over many many years now. Amber always had a smile and kind word whenever we met, and I can tell you that I relied on her expertise whenever I was making a major computer purchase, it was only a deal when Amber had given it her seal of approval. I would often see her in the cafeteria and we would share a few words and I would inquire as to her artwork.  I send my deepest condolences to her entire family, i will miss her.

So many fun times with you on the late night shift at the AC student store! Love you and will miss you dearly. You brought so many smiles to all the people around you. Serisoulsy, I have never had so much fun in the workplace than when I was working with you. I will miss stopping by, saying hello and enjoying being in your presence.

We are all diminished by her passing. I knew her at the Art Center bookstore. She was always friendly, helpful, courteous, and full of good humor. She made the effort to remember names of people. Her personable touch is missed. So sorry she has left us at such a young age.

Everyone in the Film Departments adored Amber so much.  She was always great fun to talk to, passionate and enthusiastic about technology and creativity. Our heartfelt condolences to her family. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
