

Anita Louise Luna was born in Colorado on May 7, 1934. Her mother was Benita Aragon and her father was Frank Pacheco. She was an only child, but had several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. The family moved to Los Angeles, where she attended school. In 1955 she married Samuel Luna and they had three sons - Mark, Paul, and Sam Jr. The family moved to Walnut in 1973.
Anita enjoyed a long career with the City of Los Angeles, where she made life long friends. She loved traveling and enjoyed trips to Europe, Mexico, and the Holy Land. She loved cooking and was famous for her green chili and homemade tortillas. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed great movies, music, and the arts. She enjoyed a great conversation on any topic and her wisdom and compassion always came through.
Over the years she stayed in touch, and shared great times with close friends, enjoyed a growing family of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her and Sam were married for 57 years, until he passed in 2012. They shared a lifetime of family, friends, work, and fun times. Throughout the years her three boys and their families were the center of her life. Her sons adored her and her beautiful spirit. The love for her family was only exceeded by her faith in the Lord.
