Arturo Arteaga Hernandez

Born in Mexico on a Ranch, called Salisflor in Atolinga, Zacatecas on February 21, 1946. Arturo grew up alongside his parents, Santiago and Hermelinda and his 3 brothers, Manuel, Abel, Lorenzo and his 6 sisters Maria, Olivia, Eloisa, Esperanza, Marina, Enedina. Arturo loved the ranch life as a child and even as an adult, he began farming and enjoyed taking care of the animals on the farm.

Ranch life was his ideal life, and also where he grew up to his long time friend Maria Guadalupe. As Arturo matured so did his friendship with Maria, on December 6, 1971 they became one in Holy Matrimony. Arturo and Maria started their family in Mexico, first born son Arturo Joel, and a couple years later Elizardo was born. Always humble and hard worker, Arturo worked very hard in Mexico then came a day he took a leap of faith to seek a better future for his now growing family. They migrated to the United States, and settled in Monrovia, California where they raised and grew their family with third son Homero and completed it with their last son Alvaro. Arturo’s first job in California within the hospitality industry, in Restaurants doing everything his able hands can do to provide for his family until later worked in a machine shop, making drill bits.

Arturo was devoted to his wife, his family, and their faith, they would regularly go to mass on Sundays. Arturo loved hosting on weekends and actually any day he could he would, he really enjoyed it! He loved cooking for his family and his friends, his most popular and highly requested had to be fried chicken, fried chicharones and his Menudo, delicious! The years have passed, his sons have each started their families. Arturo leaves behind his beloved Maria Guadalupe, they were married for 46 years. Now Arturo’s legacy lives on, he leaves behind 2 grandsons Richard & Matthew and 8 granddaughters Alissa, Amanda, Christa, Briana, Andrea, Krystal, Abigael and Alexis.

Arturo nació en Mexico en el Rancho Salisflor, en Atolinga, Zacatecas en Febrero 21, 1946. Arturo creció en su querido Rancho al lado de sus Padres Santiago y Hermelinda y sus hermanos Lorenzo, Abel, Manuel, Esperanza, Maria, Eloisa, Olivia, Marina y Enedina. A Arturo le encantaba andar en el Rancho cuidando de los animales y manteniendo el Rancho.

A Arturo siempre le encantaba estar conviviendo con su familia y amigos, por cual es donde comenzó la gran amistad de Amor entre Arturo y Maria Guadalupe. Con tiempo la amistad creció y en Diciembre 6, 1971 Arturo y Maria se unieron en el Sagrado Sacramento de Matrimonio. Comenzaron su Familia con su primer hijo Arturo Joel, y años pasadillos con Elizardo. Arturo siempre humilde y buen trabajador siguió sus sueños de un mejor futuro para el, Maria y su familia, dejaron Zacatecas por los Estados Unidos, se mudaron en la ciudad de Monrovia, California. Al llegar, Arturo comenzó trabajando con comida, en restaurantes y seguido de maquinista usando todo su poder para mantener a su familia. En California la familia de Arturo y Maria creció más, nació el tercer hijo Homero y finalmente Alvaro.

Entre trabajo y familia, la Fe en Dios siempre fue número uno y muy importante para Arturo que su familia mantuviera su relación con Dios y regularmente los domingos en misa. Igual conviviendo en el fin de semana, o cual quiera día que el podría con su familia y amigos, a Arturo le encantaba cocinar pollo y chicharones en la cazuela. Años pasaron, sus hijos pequeños crecieron a hombres y comenzaron sus propias familias. Arturo deja atrás a su querida Maria Guadalupe, su matrimonio de 46 años! Ahora la legacía de Arturo creció y deja atrás 2 nietos Richard y Matthew y 8 nietas Alissa, Amanda, Christa, Briana, Andrea, Krystal, Abigael y Alexis.
