Daniel devoted his life to service, honor, and family. He began his military career in 1951 at the Syrian Air Force Academy before transferring to the Armed Forces Academy. Over 43 years, he rose to the rank of Major General, serving with distinction until his retirement in 1993. A veteran of four major wars, he held leadership positions in both the army and civilian sports organizations, including Director of Training and Military Sports Command, member of the Syrian Sports Federation Executive Committee and National Olympic Committee, and Vice Chair of the Council of International Sports Military. Married to his beloved Salwa Loule for 65 years, Daniel’s greatest joy was his family. He treasured every moment with his children and grandchildren, cheering at their school and sports events and surrounding himself with their love in his retirement years.
