He died on June 29, 2026.
Don grew up in Glendora, California. As a child and teen he loved playing all sports, especially Little League baseball, and developed a lifelong passion for music and fast cars.
Don is survived by his loving partner of 28 years, Regina Dekker and
his three daughters;
Karey Jaeger, Julie Jaeger and Aimee Dawn Roolvink. He is also survived by his six grandchildren; Travis Jaeger England, Lindsay Jaeger-Lopez, Jordynne England, Sophia Roolvink, Ava Dawn Roolvink and Daniella Roolvink.
Additionally, he is survived by his son-in-laws Johnny Roolvink and Dennis Karp and his sister, June Wemple and brother, William Jaeger. Donald joined his grandson, Tyler Cameron Jaeger, in the afterlife.
Don graduated from Glendora High
School in 1961 and until the time of his death he continued connecting with his former classmates through their planning of reunion meet ups and activities.
After graduating from GHS, Don spent 37 years working in various roles within Rainbird Sprinkler Company. He started as a production worker at their Glendora plant and at the time his retirement he was serving as a General Manager. While working at Rainbird, he earned his bachelors degree from Cal Poly Pomona and an MBA degree from Pepperdine University. He spent many years involved in Glendora Chamber of Commerce activities as a Rainbird representative.
Building on his love of music, Don and his brother formed Cameron Broadcasting, Incorporated in 1991. Don was the Executive Vice President of Cameron, an Arizona-based media company, that operates five radio stations serving some Tri-State regions of Arizona, Nevada and California. Don was well loved for all his community outreach endeavors, and built long-lasting relationships with many. He was also respected and well-loved with the Cameron Broadcasting staff as he was a team builder and showed great compassion and encouragement whenever it was needed. He was a hands-on kind of leader, and cared about everyone who worked there.
Don was a spiritual man who believed in the power of prayer. He supported Regina in her Authentic Living Ministry at events and workshops.
As a partner, son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, Don was a person who could be counted on to be a loving and caring presence who his family and friends could rely on. He had an excellent sense of humor, loved a bit of healthy competition, enjoyed and respected nature (especially a good sunset), music, participating in and watching sports and most importantly - sharing time doing things he loved and enjoyed with the people he cared about. He gave great advice and pep talks and never shied away from hard work or a challenging situation.
Don will be remembered by those who loved him as a genuine and decent man who was able to find the silver lining in challenging situations. He was loved deeply and will be greatly missed.
