So sad to hear of the passing of Winslow. We met in 1995 and traveled to Ludlow many times to photograph trains. Of course, he and I had a special way to talk to each other.

I feel honored to have known Don since I met him back in 1999.  He was a man of few words, but he let his camera do all the talking. His photographs have been a source of inspiration to a lot of folk here in Australia and New Zealand. He will be missed. John Parker

His photos brought me back to all the train rides, train adventures I could enjoy with my beloved husband Paul in the U.S. and sometimes with my family. So over here and in the U.S. too we were known as the crazy Kolb's.
