With all my love I’m always going to be there for the family God put together your children and mine like we talk once is about them when we’re gone I can’t put together all my emotions I just don’t know how to express myself so many stories together memories. RIP

Where do I start...When I think of Elva I think of a loving Mother that always wanted the best for her family. I met Elva through John whom has been my best friend for more than a decade. I was a teenager when John introduced me to his Mother. I still remember the day I met her. He invited me to their family barbecue along with my one year old son Zay. When he invited me over I thought maybe it would be weird because I did not know their family. To much of my surprise coming from the Mother of John I should have expected her to be the fun, nice, accepting, loving person he is. Elva welcomed me with open arms and in fact John and I became a little inseparable at a point in my life where I seen her daily.  She was always interested in having conversations and she was interested in our studies and class assignments. She was sooo supportive and made me feel like part of the family.  I remember her sarcastic jokes and comments that were meant to lively the environment. She always wanted to  organize and have yard sales...that's what I remember. Also, she use to always get the good deals from clothes to lip gloss. I remember helping her organize Vienna's room and I thought to myself how lucky they were to have a Mother who insisted on good things for her children and she would even clean their rooms. I remember her scrap booking days also...she loved to be creative and had an artistic side for sure. I feel be bad in my heart because I did not spend time with her much during her last days. I only remember the golden days with her smile and laughter.  She accepted not only me into her life but my son Zay as well. She would take care of him while John and I attended college classes or trips for fun. She treated him like her own and I trusted her. I will always remember you Elva and it breaks my soul to know that your gone...I will always remember your smile...and I will be here for your family forever. One last thing...Elva always had the best legs any girl would want...

From being are first family friends in Pomona, to grow into one big family in Victorville. Me personally, i will forever be great full for you picking me up and taking me into school. All those after school days just hanging out. All those nights me and my mom came over just for a chat, dinner,  and of course the first every baby shower we got to celebrate with you and the family. Elva, me and everyone from the Sanchez/Melendez family love you and will forever hold a place in our hearts for you.

Elva, I’m going to miss you. Thank you for everything you have done for me as a little girl to being supportive and happy when my kids were born. I promise I will always be a sister to Johnathan, Vienna, Peke and Destinee. I will always remember how you used to do our makeup, our hair, and nails as little girls. I will miss your voice when I would call the house looking for Vienna and you would always tell me “you know how Vienna is”. I will always remember Jolene by Dolly Parton and how you gave Vienna and I the courage to sing it at karaoke when we were little girls. Also Celine Dion’s it’s all coming back to me and we would sing/shout it in the car. Watch over us and say hi to your mom, Meriyem and my grandma. I love you and will miss you Elva.

She was such a beautiful woman inside and out! She loved her grandchildren and children so much, you could tell just how much joy she got from her babies! I'm praying for peace for the family in this time of tremendous loss!
