

Fannie Cornelia Allen was born June 22, 1933 to Cornelia and Johnnie Mack Johnson in Clio, South Carolina. She was the youngest child born in a family of seven children. She passed away peacefully on December 14, 2021 in San Gabriel, California. Fannie was educated in South Carolina and relocated to New Jersey. She raised three children and married James Allen. She moved to Los Angeles, California in 1995 to reunite with her adult children.
Fannie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who loved cooking. She enjoyed going to the movies, and loved gospel and soul music. She looked forward to her weekly phone calls with her sisters. Fannie had an amazing memory and if there was someone who needed a date of a birthday or an event, Fannie was the person who was called. She was a member of the Baptist Church in New Jersey and enjoyed dressing in her Sunday best. Her favorite color was red. She was the happiest when she spent time with her granddaughter, Bianca. She always had Juicy Fruit Gum for Bianca and loved her sweets.
Preceding her in the afterlife: daughter, Audrey Johnson, husband, James Allen, parents Cornelia and Johnnie Mack Johnson, brother, Douglas Johnson, sisters, Virgie Harris, Catherine Miles, Mary McLeod, Martha Hose.
She is survived by, sons, Michael Johnson (Eloisa) and Marvin Allen, granddaughter, Bianca Johnson, sister, Bertha McRae and a host of loving family and friends.
Fannie was grateful to many individuals who provided loving care and were compassionate towards her during her health challenges.
Fannie was deeply loved and will be truly missed.
