My condolences to the family of my brother Fredy. It's sad to learn of his passing this way but I just found out and it is understandable. I wish we had been closer. I am the youngest daughter of Federico Caban Rivera or Federico Caban Sr. who passed in 1988. May they  rest in peace. 
Looking at the pictures I can see he had a nice big family God Bless!
I'm sure they miss him tremendously.  I just hope God grants them the strength and support each other and stay together continuing with what he would have wanted to see.

I just found this looking for information of my father, Federico Caban Rivera, who I think may have been the father of this Federico Caban. If so this Federico was my half brother...

My name is Estrella Caban, I am from Puerto Rico, born 1951 and live in New York.
Looking at the pictures I can see that he looks very much like my brother Carlos Manuel Caban Gracia on his young pictures and like my father later on...

Memories of My Father

Although there are millions of things I can say
Here are a few that I thought of today
From my earliest days I remember how
You patterned your life with discipline as your pal
Being a marine was your greatest pride
The training you learned became your life's guide
You got up every morning with one goal in mind
To work hard, provide and keep your family fine
Although your emotions were often hard to read
You showed much love by providing our every need
From shelter, to food, to clothes to bling
You provided it all, and everything in between
From cheerleading outfits,to guitars and cars
We were privileged kids because of the sweat of your brow
Even as adults when we had financial pain
Your bank was always open to relieve the money strain 
You always took the time to make life fun
And let us know that we were number one
As a child I looked forward to your weekly payday
Cuz that meant hamburgers and fries from Mc Donald's  were on there way.
Camping trips up the canyon were priceless times
Especially in your Chevy Camper which was one of a kind
Remember when we rode in the back of your pick up?
No seatbelt or worry of getting a ticket?
Redondo Beach trips to buy fresh crab
And later cook, crack and eat in mom's kitchen lab
You had a green thumb it was plane to see
When we looked at your land and saw your beautiful trees.
Oranges, tomatoes, grapefruit, lemon's galore
Bananas, pomegranates, gandules, and peppers by the score
You made history on predominately white Bellefont Dr.
By paving the way for Latino pride
Adjusting to the neighborhood was very hard at first
But it helped mold our character to handle life's worst
I was reminded of an experience about your fatherly protection
That taught me how to wear clothing with much discretion
You see, the first time I wore a tube top and walked outside
You commanded an about face, and I marched back inside 
You worked hard for many years as a welder for Metro Steele
And later became head foreman which was a really big deal
And everyone adored your ornamental fence 
Which was designed and crafted by your amazing gifted sense
You not only welded and knew how to fix a car
But you also knew how to beautifully play a guitar
You were married to Mom for 56 years
What an incredible journey worth celebrating with cheers
Your commitment towards your wife during her final suffering days
Spoke volumes to my soul of your deep loving ways
Throughout your life you tried to stay on target
And kept your spiritual life very very private 
But you did say you believed in God in your own way
And in your room had a portrait of Christ as He knelt to pray
And one night recently you did receive Christ as Savior
So I trust from this day forth you will be with Him forever
Now that a part of your story's been told
Everyone can see that you had a heart of gold
Memories of you will always remain 
And keep in my heart your life aflame
